In the August 2017 edition of the New Heights Newsletter, Pastor Dan reflects on the truth of the Bible, there are upcoming church events and more!

NEW HEIGHTS REFLECTIONS: Is the Bible Really True?

At New Heights, we treat the Bible as if it is God’s direct Word to us.  We believe it was inspired by Holy Spirit.  It’s our standard for what we believe and how we live out our lives. But have you ever wondered why?  Is the Bible really deserving of such authority over us?  Have you ever joined with a growing number of people in our culture and asked questions like: “Isn’t the Bible is full of contradictions & myths?”,  “Isn’t the Bible just another book like any other book?,  “What evidence is there that Bible is true and really is God’s Word to us humans?

For the rest of this summer leading up to our Fall Kickoff on Sunday Sept 17, we are doing a series called, “How Do I Know the Bible is True?”  During this series, we’ll look at evidence such as: The Unity of the Bible, Manuscript Evidence, Archaeological Evidence, Fulfilled Prophecy, Jesus’ Testimony about the Bible, and how the Bible has impacted millions of lives.

2 Timothy 2:15 says, “Do your best to win full approval in God’s sight, as a worker who is not ashamed of his work, one who correctly teaches the message of God’s truth” (GNB). My hope and prayer is that this series will show you that there is overwhelming evidence the Bible is true.  May this fact challenge you to be students of God’s Word and motivate you to apply it to your lives daily and be able to correctly teach God’s message to others.  Also if you have friends and family members who are skeptics, please invite them to come hear this sermon series.  I’ll join you in prayer that the truth of the Bible will transform their hearts and minds!  - Pastor Dan

We have an exciting Children’s ministry program at New Heights! We believe the Christian education of our children in solid, biblical instruction is of the utmost importance. It can make a difference not only in our children’s eternal destiny but in those they affect during their lifetimes. We offer the following children’s classes held during our Sunday worship service:

  • Nursery: newborn through 3 years old
  • Little Lambs: 4 year olds through 1st Grade
  • Sonshine Kids: 2nd Grade through 5th grade

Our youth group is for students in grades 6-12.  We meet on Sundays after church and also do periodic fun activities.
